27th Street Bridge Replacement
RLW removed and replaced the 27th Street bridge and an adjacent pedestrian bridge over the Roaring Fork River using accelerated bridge construction methods. The 27th Street bridge was constructed adjacent to the existing bridge and slid into place following demolition activities. This approach kept the bridge in service as long as possible to reduce traffic impacts for residents and visitors. Similarly, the pedestrian bridge was constructed off-site and hoisted into place. All work was performed while maintaining traffic and protecting the river below.
