I-15 to SR-201 Design Build
RLW led the design-build team that widened 13 miles of I-15 southbound through the Salt Lake Valley, widened a segment of 7200 S. to three eastbound and westbound lanes, and reconfigured the I-15/I-215 interchange. The team rehabilitated, widened, or narrowed 24 bridges and built MSE walls in this tightly constrained corridor. RLW met UDOT’s goals to reduce impacts to motorists by limiting lane closures to nighttime, and using gantry cranes to remove the existing girders and place new girders at a railroad bridge in a heavily traveled area south of the I-15/I-215 interchange.
