Logan Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility
The Logan Regional Wastewater Treatment Facility is a new wastewater facility servicing 6 communities in Cache Valley. RLW was contracted to do all the structural concrete on the project. The facility included a new headworks building, 3 bioreactors, 4 clarifiers, UV building, biomag building, solids holding tank, and a dewatering building. Our scope included the structural concrete in all these buildings with mass footings, walls, and decks; complex channels, tunnels, and bridges; and conical-shaped footings in tanks with concrete totaling 24,451 cubic yards. The structures were also required to be hydrostatically tested to ensure water tightness with 12.5 million gallons. There were 205 wall placements, 300+ total pours, 20+ decks, 38 footings, 2 miles of water stop between the pours, and 174,000 man-hours. In addition to the concrete, RLW was awarded a crane change order and had up to 4 cranes at once.
